Suicide

It felt like tumbling down a hill without pause. There were so many things sticking up from the ground during the roll, puncturing, further injuring. But nothing would stop that downward pull. The worst thing was? I didn't care. The pit below was no longer dark, while the light from above was no longer welcoming. I wasn't sure what mattered, as my mind was in such a frenzied state, in as much pain as my physical body. As I continued downward, that quickly approaching pit became the light. Eyes of Mist 1

Chapter 1 – Peaceful Days Tamaril raised his head and ran his hand through his thick white hair. He laid down the quill  next to the book he had just been writing and stood. It was seldom that he stopped writing. He had ceased to feel the need for sleep or food a long time ago. It had been at about the same time when he had stopped being what he had been born as. 2014 - Updated Stock Rules

Since I'm no longer actively checking messages on this account, I figured I'd update the stock rules to clarify some of the most frequently asked concerns sent to my mailbox. I'm over 10k messages behind on this account with not enough free time to maintain it active, so the least I can for everyone still awaiting response is to revise the rules. Stock Usage Rules #1: This stock was created for artists on Deviantart. If you need to use it elsewhere you are free to do so, provided there's a small credit provided somewhere (description box, on the image, etc). #2: When you use stocks from this account you must credit me in the artist notes

Update + Feature

First of all, Hummingbird is really healthy at the moment, and I've also got a load of scenes and character sheets going for the sequel. It's going to be epic, a lot more is happening, and it isn't going to focus on just Blake-Alexander and Hale - though what they're about to go through is heartbreaking. I'm hoping to finish Hummingbird in the next couple of months, then try and find myself and agent and get it published. So now, here to the features. Quite a lot piqued my interest this week: :thumb321586643: by ~madamsarah (https://www.deviantart.com/madamsarah) I love the metaphors and rhythm in this poem. :thumb445251149: by :iconhavemusic-willblast: A wonderful start

So You Wanna Make Some Merch... A brief overview about the different printing and merchandise options I've come across. by kabocha (https://www.deviantart.com/kabocha) :star: An original article by kabocha (https://www.deviantart.com/kabocha) Originally Published Sept 17, 2010; Updated June 9, 2016 New additions to the list have been marked. If you've ever been to a convention... :bulletred: Preparing for the Artist Alley can be a little stressful.  There are so many questions, such as: What kind of artwork should I do? What kind of merchandise sells well? How am I going to display my stuff? Where am I going to get this all done...?! :bulletred: The first three questions are a little tricky t
